Men’s golf: Comets finish sixth at A.C. Eddy Invitational
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished sixth today at the Trine (Ind.) University/A.C. Eddy Invitational, played at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind.
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College men's golf team finished sixth today at the Trine (Ind.) University/A.C. Eddy Invitational, played at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind.
Counting all five golfers' scorers, the Comets posted a 428 team score. Rochester College and Siena Heights University tied for first-place; however, the Rochester was declared the team champion because of its lower fifth-man score. David Smith from Kalamazoo College and Parker Ross from Siena Heights shared individual medalist honors with 73s.
Junior Benjamin Hart tied for fifth-place in the player standings with a 78. Freshman Tanor Blowers was part of three-way for 11th with an 81. Sophomore Matt Sherry carded an 84. Senior Jake Maas completed his round in 86 strokes. Freshman Dylan Searle was the last Comet scorer with a 99.
Olivet is off until Tuesday, April 28, when it golfs against Albion College for a dual match at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.
