Men’s golf: Olivet places sixth at Manchester Invitational
The Olivet College men’s golf team placed sixth of eight teams at the Manchester (Ind.) University Spring Invitational held today at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind.
WABASH, Ind. – The Olivet College men's golf team placed sixth of eight teams at the Manchester (Ind.) University Spring Invitational held today at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind.
The Comets had a 328 team score. University of Saint Francis (Ind.) won the team title with a 282. Ian Coffey from Saint Francis was the individual medalist with a three-under par 68.
Freshman Tanor Blowers led Olivet with a six-over par 77. Sophomore Matt Sherry completed his round in 81 strokes, followed by junior Benjamin Hart at 83. Senior Jake Maas began the day by shooting 10 over on his first three holes before finishing the final 15 at six-over for an 87. Freshman Dylan Searle carded a 98.
Olivet will stay in Indiana tonight and play in the Trine (Ind.) University/A.C. Eddy Invitational tomorrow.
