Men’s golf: Olivet is seventh at sixth MIAA Jamboree
The Olivet College men’s golf team was seventh at the sixth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team was seventh at the sixth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree. The outing took place at the Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids.
The Comets posted a 346 team score to sit 15 strokes ahead of eighth-place Alma College. Hope College had the top two golfers to win the jamboree by six strokes over the host Knights, 297-303.
Olivet's four-scoring golfers were each separated by one stroke, led by freshman Tanor Blowers' 85. Freshman Alex Bialik was next at 86, followed by sophomore Matt Sherry, 87; and junior Benjamin Hart, 88. Sophomore Jacob VanDeusen completed his round in 101 strokes.
Hope hosts the seventh MIAA Jamboree Thursday afternoon at the Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive.
