Men’s golf team places eighth at OWU/Strimer Memorial Invitational
The Olivet College men’s golf team placed eighth at the Ohio Wesleyan University/Strimer Memorial Invitational at the Glenross Golf Course in Delaware, Ohio.
DELAWARE, Ohio – The Olivet College men's golf team placed eighth at the Ohio Wesleyan University/Strimer Memorial Invitational at the Glenross Golf Course in Delaware, Ohio.
The Comets posted a two-round total of 656 (630-626) strokes. Otterbein (Ohio) University led the nine-team field with a 576 (291-285).
Junior Nick Julian was second in the player standings with a two-round total of 141 strokes. He shot a 72 in the first round, and followed that with a one-under par 69 in today's second round. Martin Holdren carded a 162 (83-79). Benjamin Hart improved by seven strokes today for a 177 (92-85). Chris Watkins completed his two rounds in 181 (88-93) strokes. Justin Spayd finished with a 182 (87-95).
Olivet will participate in the Calvin Knight Invite Tuesday afternoon at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Course in Grand Rapids. The event has a noon shotgun start.
