Men's golf team finishes in ninth-place A.C. Eddy Invitational
The Olivet College men's golf team finished in ninth-place at the A.C. Eddy Invitational, hosted by Trine (Ind.) University and played at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola.
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College men's golf team finished in ninth-place at the A.C. Eddy Invitational, hosted by Trine (Ind.) University and played at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola.
The Comets posted a 328 team score to finish six strokes behind eighth-place Albion College. The host Thunder took first-place in the team standings with a 290, while Trine's Pat Wolcott was the tournament medalist with a one-under par 70.
Olivet was led by junior Martin Holdren (New Bremen, Ohio) with a 78. Freshman Benjamin Hart (Rockford/Lowell) and junior Nick Julian (Clinton Twp./Chippewa Valley) each carded an 81. Freshman Justin Spayd (Shepherd) had an 88. Junior Chris Watkins (Bangor) completed his round in 91 strokes.
The Comets will travel to Delaware, Ohio, this Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14, to participate in the Ohio Wesleyan University Strimer Memorial Invitational at the Glenross Golf Club.
