The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in seventh-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #3 Saturday at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.

The Comets had a 320 team score. Hope College captured the team championship with a 302. Calvin was second at 304, followed by Albion at 309, Alma and Adrian at 310, and Trine at 311.
Olivet was led by sophomore Grant Spencer (Olivet), who shot a 77. Juniors Nick Harless (DeWitt) and Cameron LaFountain (Marshall) each posted an 80. Freshman Tyler Parkin (Alanson/Harbor Springs) completed his round in 83 strokes. Senior Luke Godin (Barrie, Ontario/Innisdale Secondary) rounded out the Comet lineup with an 89.
Olivet sits in fifth-place in the MIAA seasonal standings with a three-round total of 932 strokes, nine behind Trine and nine ahead of Albion.
The fourth league jamboree is next Thursday, Sept. 24, at Kalamazoo's Millham Park Golf Course.
