The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in fourth-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #7 today at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

The Comets had a 319 team score. The host Britons took top honors with a 300. Hope College was second at 309, followed by Adrian in third at 310. Behind Olivet was Trine in fifth at 322; Calvin at 324; Kalamazoo at 326; and Alma at 344.
Junior Cam LaFountain (Marshall) tied for third-place in the player standings with a three-over-par 75. The rest of the Comet scorers were senior Luke Godin (Barrie, Ontario/Innisdale Secondary), 79; junior Nick Harless (DeWitt), 82; sophomore Grant Spencer (Olivet), 83; and freshman Justin Ardelean (Owosso), 85.
Entering the league's final jamboree, Olivet sits in sixth-place in the seasonal standings with a seven-round total of 2,173 strokes, 22 behind fifth-place Adrian. Hope is on top of the standings.
The last jamboree was rescheduled for next Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive. The event is being made up after rain and wind postponed the outing Sept. 28.
