The Gary Morrison era at Olivet College has come to an end, as the Comet men’s golf team finished in a tie for sixth-place at the College of Wooster/Nye Intercollegiate at the Wooster Country Club in Wooster, Ohio. Morrison has been Olivet’s head coach for the last 35 years.

In today's round, the Comets posted a 319 team score to go along with yesterday's 317 for a two-round total of 636 strokes to tie Hope College. team score, Malone (Ohio) University won the team championship with a 590 (291-299), followed by Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) College, 607 (301-306); John Carroll (Ohio) University, 624 (316-308); and Notre Dame College of Ohio, 629 (316-313).
Senior Luke Godin (Barrie, Ontario/Innisdale Secondary) tied for 11th-place in the player standings with a two-day total of 153 (77-76) strokes. Junior Cameron LaFountain (Marshall) was next at 157 (79-78). Junior Nick Harless (DeWitt) was close behind at 159 (78-81), followed by sophomore Grant Spencer (Olivet) at 167 (83-84) and freshman Tyler Parkin (Alanson/Harbor Springs) at 171 (84-87).
