Men’s golf team takes first-place at MIAA Jamboree #1
The Olivet College men’s golf team took first-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #1 today at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.

The Comets carded a 293 team score to beat second-place Albion College by seven strokes. Hope College and Trine (Ind.) University tied for third-place with a 303, followed by Calvin College (311), Adrian College (313), Alma College (324) and Kalamazoo College (325).
All five Olivet golfers finished in the top 11 of the player standings. Senior Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) was second in the player standings with a 71. Freshman Drew Lasky (Marshall) tied for fourth-place with a 73. Senior Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) placed in a tie for sixth with a 74. Senior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) and sophomore Nick Harless (DeWitt) were each part of a three-way tie for ninth-place with a 75.
The Comets will host the next league jamboree Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. The outing begins at 1 p.m.
