Men’s golf team takes first-place at MIAA Jamboree #1
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in first-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #1 today at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

The Comets carded a 312 team score to beat defending MIAA champion Hope College by two strokes. Albion College was third with a 320, followed by Alma College, 323; Tri-State (Ind.) University, 324; Calvin College, 326; Adrian College, 344; and Kalamazoo College, 351. Albion's Mason Husby and Hope's Tommy Yamaoka shared medalist honors with a 73.
Junior Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) posted a two-over par 74 to finish third in the player standings. Senior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) was next with a 76. Junior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) returned to the clubhouse with a 79. Junior Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) recorded an 83, and junior Jacob Johnson (Ann Arbor/Pioneer) rounded out the Comet lineup with an 87.
Olivet is now idle until next Tuesday, Sept. 11, when it hosts the second MIAA Jamboree at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. The outing gets under way with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
