Men’s golf team finishes in second-place at MIAA Jamboree #5
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in second-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #5, which was hosted by Tri-State (Ind.) University at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola.

The Comets posted a 285 team score. The host Thunder was first with a 282. Hope was third (287), followed by Alma (302), Albion (305), Calvin (307), Kalamazoo (320) and Adrian (320). In the MIAA seasonal standings, Hope maintains first-place at 1,468 strokes. Olivet is second with 1,491 strokes, and Tri-State is third (1,498).
Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) and Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) shared medalist honors with a four under par 68. Gleadall fired a 37 on the front nine and a 31 on the back nine. Kiss had a 33 on the front nine and 35 on the back nine.
Junior Christian Rowe (Midland/Dow) was next for the Comets with a 74 (35-39). Sophomore Justin Lesansky (La Salle, Ontario/International) carded a 75 (36-39), while junior Justin Gusczinski (Horton/Hanover-Horton) had a 77 (37-40).
Adrian hosts the next MIAA jamboree Friday, Sept. 29, at the Lenawee Country Club. Action gets under way with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
