Men’s golf team finishes in fifth-place at MIAA Jamboree #7
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in fifth-place today at the seventh Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) jamboree, which was hosted by Hope College at the Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive.

The Comets posted a team score of 311 strokes. Hope was first with a MIAA course record 289, followed by Alma College, 304; Tri-State (Ind.) University, 309; and Calvin College, 310. Entering the final jamboree, Hope leads the seasonal standings with 2,045 strokes, while Olivet is tied with Tri-State for second with 2,106 strokes.
Junior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) tied for third in the player standings today with a 72. Junior Christian Rowe (Midland/Dow) was next with a 78. Sophomores Justin Gusczinski (Horton/Hanover-Horton) and Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) needed 80 and 81 strokes, respectively. Sophomore Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) rounded out the Olivet lineup with an 86.
Calvin College hosts the final jamboree Oct. 16 at the Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids.
