Men’s golf team finishes in third-place at Anderson Invitational
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in third-place at the two-day, 36-hole Anderson (Ind.) University Spring Invitational, which was played at the Anderson Country Club.

The Comets carded a team score of 631 strokes. Franklin (Ind.) College led the eight-team field with a 604, followed by the host Ravens at 628. Franklin's Tim Fish earned medalist honors with a 143.
Olivet was led by seniors Steve Ross (Rockford) and Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario/McKinnon Park) and freshman Robbe Trout (Charlotte). Each golfer had a two-round score of 158 strokes to tie for eighth-place. Trout had a team-low 73 in the first round, while Ward fired a team-low 81 in the second round.
Sophomore Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) was one stroke behind with a 159. Freshman Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) had a score of 162 strokes.
The Comets will next participate in the Denison (Ohio) University/Ted Barclay Spring Invitational April 8-9 at the Granville Country Club.
