Men’s golf team ties for third-place at MIAA Jamboree #6
The Olivet College men’s golf team tied for third-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #6. The round was played at the Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive.

The Comets had a team score of 313 strokes to tie Adrian and Albion colleges. Tri-State (Ind.) University finished in first-place with a 290 and Hope College was second at 292. With two jamborees left, Tri-State leads the overall standings at 1,767 while Olivet is third at 1,832.
Sophomore Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) led the Comets with a 77, followed by freshman Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario) with a 78. Junior Derrick Sayers (Battle Creek/Lakeview) along with freshmen Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) and Robbe Trout (Charlotte) all had a 79.
Over the next week, the last two MIAA jamborees will be played, beginning Saturday, Oct. 1 when Adrian hosts one at the Lenawee Country Club. The eighth and final jamboree is Monday, Oct. 3, as Calvin hosts it at the Watermark Country Club.
