Men’s golf team captures MIAA Jamboree #2 team title
The Olivet College men's golf team captured the team title at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #2 held this afternoon at the Bedford Valley Country Club.

The Fighting Comets tallied a team score of 294 strokes to finish one stroke ahead of Tri-State (Ind.) University. Hope College was third with a 300. Tri-State leads the MIAA seasonal standings with a 611, followed by Hope and Olivet with a 619 and 623, respectively.
Today, senior Mike Dinner (Oakville, Ontario/St. Ignatius of Loyola) tied for individual medalist honors with a one-under par 71. He was followed by freshman Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) with a 72, juniors Steve Ross (Rockford) and Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario) with a 76 and senior Jon Stapleton (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville-Trafalgar) with an 82.
Olivet is next in action when it competes at the third (of eight) MIAA jamborees at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind. Tri-State will serve as the host.
