Men's golf team is runner-up at Pat Flowers Invitational
The Olivet College men's golf team finished in second-place today at the 11th Annual Pat Flowers Spring Men's Golf Invitational hosted by John Carroll University. The tournament was played on the 27-hole layout of the Fowler's Mills Golf Course in Chesterland, Ohio.

The Fighting Comets tallied a team score of 464 strokes, just two strokes behind Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) College with a 462. Leading the way for Olivet was junior Mike Dinner (Oakville, Ontario/St, Ignatius of Loyola), who fired a 112 and tied for third-place in the individual standings. Ryan Petretti of B-W shot a 110 to earn medalist honors.
Following Dinner were junior Jon Stapleton (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville-Trafalgar) with a 115, junior Andrew Wismer (Thornhill, Ontario/Thornhill Secondary) with a 116, sophomore Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario) with a 121 and junior Stew Halstead (Kelowna, British Columbia/Mount Boucherie) with a 123.
In addition, junior Jeff Jardine (Collingwood, Ontario/ Collingwood Collegiate) competed as an individual and shot a 122.
The Comets will next compete at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, April 24-25. The first round will be played at the Dornoch Golf Club, followed by the second round at the Oakhaven Golf Course.
