FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College senior Jacob Jodway has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Football Offensive Player of the Week.
Jodway caught 10 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns in the Comets' 50-49 loss to Trine (Ind.) University. The touchdown passes covered 38 and 17 yards. In addition, the 212 receiving yards is the third-most in a game in school history. For the season, Jodway is averaging 22.9 yards per reception (22 catches for 504 yards).
"Jake has been a consistent and explosive player maker for us," said Olivet head coach Dan Musielewicz. "He was in a position to make a big impact on the game and executed really well. Lane (Porter) put the ball where it needed to be, and Jake and our offense made some big plays down the stretch."
The Comets are back in action Saturday when they travel to play Hope College. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
