Sophomore Javon Moore's play on a blocked punt was recognized as the D3football.com Play of the Week. The Hornets were forced to punt deep in the end zone when sophomore Trevor Wyman got a hand on the ball to block the punt. Moore was in the right spot as the ball landed in his hands for a touchdown, rather than a safety.
In addition, senior defensive lineman Ryan Armstrong was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week. He finished the game with 12 total tackles, seven and a half for loss yardage, including three and a half sacks. One of the sacks was in the end zone for a safety. The seven and half tackles for loss tied for the fifth-most in NCAA DIII history and is the most by a player across all NCAA levels this season.
