Olivet College’s Bryson earns MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for football
Olivet College sophomore wide receiver Kyle Bryson (Rives Junction/Leslie) has earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week honors for football.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore wide receiver Kyle Bryson (Rives Junction/Leslie) has earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week honors for football. He is being honored for the second time this season.
Bryson broke a single-game school record and a MIAA single-game record with 19 receptions for another Olivet single-game record 263 yards in the Comets' 39-37 loss to Kalamazoo College Nov. 16 at the Cutler Athletic Complex. The 263 receiving yards is the third-most in MIAA history for a single-game. Bryson also caught touchdown passes of five and 14 yards in the fourth quarter, as well as ran the ball for a successful two-point conversion attempt in the second quarter and caught a successful two-point conversion pass in the fourth quarter for 16 points.
Bryson and the Comets finished the 2013 season with a 6-4 overall record.
