Baseball: Olivet wins 5-1 over Wilmington

XENIA, Ohio – Senior Keegan Kuha pitched five strong inninings to help The University of Olivet baseball team defeat Wilmington (Ohio) College, 5-1, in a non-conference game this afternoon at the Athletes in Action Sports Complex.

- Records: Olivet 3-4 overall, Wilmington 1-8 overall
- Olivet scored three runs in the top of the first inning.
- The Quakers got one run back in the fourth inning when a runner scored on a passed ball.
- The Comets added two insurance runs in their half of the sixth inning.
- At the plate, freshman Austin Alflen went 3-for-5.
- Sophomore Will Myrick had two hits, including a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
- Sophomore Braden Abbott and junior Blake Hawkins each tallied two hits.
- Hawkins drove in two runs.
- Kuha allowed an unearned run on five hits, while striking out six batters over his five innings.
- Sophomore Antonio Biggs tossed three scoreless innings of relief.
- Sophomore Nate Droste threw the ninth inning.
- Olivet flies to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, tomorrow to play six games in four days at the Ripken Experience. The Comets' first game is Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. against University of Hartford (Conn.).
