- The Duhawks scored the only run they would need in the first inning on an RBI-double.
- Loras manufactured its second run in the fifth. The leadoff batter singled, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt and came around to score on a two-out, RBI-single.
- The Comets left two runners stranded in scoring position in the seventh inning.
- A solo home run to start the eighth inning capped the game's scoring.
- Olivet was held to three hits – a double and single by senior Brandan Settles, and a double by senior Aaron Gillespie.
- Settles also stole two bases to raise his season total to 13 swipes. He entered today's game ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division III with 1.22 steals per game.
- On the mound, sophomore Hunter Henson suffered the loss. He gave up two runs on seven hits, while striking out five and walking two in seven innings.
- Sophomore Casey Huizenga threw two innings of relief, allowing three hits.
- Loras totaled eight hits, including two by Ryan Gorman.
- Six other players each had a base hit.
- Extra-base hits were Luke Fennelly's home run, and doubles by Ryan Wohlers and Matt Gruszkowski.
- On the mound, Erik Edminster threw the first six innings to earn the win. He allowed one hit, struck out five and walked two batters.
- Tanner Fallon pitched the ninth inning to pick-up the save.
- The Comets return to the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex tomorrow for a 9:30 a.m. game against Westminster (Pa.) College.
