Women’s bowling team participates in American Heartland Intercollegiate I & II
The Olivet College women’s bowling team participated in the American Heartland Intercollegiate I and II Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at SuperBowl in Canton.
CANTON, Mich. – The Olivet College women's bowling team participated in the American Heartland Intercollegiate I and II Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at SuperBowl in Canton.
On Saturday, the Comets had a team score of 3,673 and a baker total of 1,843 for a team total of 5,516 pins. Individually, freshman Amanda Igl totaled 801 pins over her five games. Her high game was 169. Freshman Patricia Neely posted Olivet's top high score with a 202 in her fourth game.
On Sunday, the Comets improved their total score by 42 pins, with a team score of 3,125 and a baker total of 2,433 for a team score 5,558 pins. Igl led Olivet for a second straight day, totaling 662 pins and high of 177. Junior Bailey Tyler totaled 634 pins, including a 202 for her high game. Neely was not far behind with a 625.
The Comets are back in action Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Adrian College Open. The event will take place at the Lenawee Recreation Center in Adrian.
NOTES: Saturday's score consisted of five team games and 12 baker games. Sunday's score consisted of four team games and 16 baker games.
