Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - April 15, 2024

The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is freshman Alexis Bond, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, and graduate of Father McGivney Catholic High School. Bond recorded a team-high .467 batting average (7-of-15) over six games for the softball team last week. One of her hits was a home run and another was a double to give her a .733 slugging percentage. In addition, Bond walked three times for a .579 on-base percentage. She scored three runs and drove in four runs.

The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is freshman Owen Fremeau, of Jackson, and graduate of Western High School. At the Davenport University Panther Invitational, Fremeau broke the school record in the discus throw with a mark of 154 feet, 9 inches. The performance ranks No. 1 among Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association throwers and No. 32 on the NCAA Division III Performance List.
