Bio

You were a three-sport student standout participating and excelling in wrestling, football and track at Olivet College. You earned four letters in both wrestling and football and one in track. You were captain of both the wrestling and football teams for several years and a Scholar All-American student.

Under Coach Jare Klein, your friend and mentor, you gained national recognition by qualifying three years fot the NCAA finals. You are a two-time All-American, pacling second in the nation in the 1993-94 season. In 1992-93 you set the Olivet College record for the highest number of wins in a season and received the Male Student Athlete of the Year award. You achieved a career record of 139 wins and only 14 losses. You were also voted Most Valuable Wrestler for three consecutive years.

During your years at Olivet College you were involved in the Student Life Ad Hoc committee, Phi Epsilon Kappa, the alcohol and drug policy committee and a student representative for the MIAA. You are listed Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities.

After receiving your degree in Wellness and Athletic Training you enjoyed a year of semi pro football with the national championship Flint Falcon team and continued your career in recreation and wellness. You are presently the activities program coordinator for the Thumb Correctional facility in Lapeer, Michigan. Your volunteer work includes serving as youth director for St. Paul's Methodist Church and the Special Olympics Torch Run benefit in your community.

We applaud your excellence in athletics and your sense of individual and social responsibility and formally induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame on this twenty-second day of September 2001.
