Bio

You lettered all four years on the men’s swimming & diving team. You were a four-time All-MIAA honoree from 2005-08. You were the MIAA champion in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2005, 2006 and 2007, and swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay in 2006. Your performances helped the Olivet men win the MIAA championship in 2006 and 2007. In addition, you qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007. You earned honorable mention All-American honors in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke in 2005, and 100-yard breaststroke in 2007. You hold the school record in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, and at the time of graduation, were a member of the school-record 200- and 400-yard medley relays.

Your success in the pool carried over into the classroom. You earned CoSIDA College Division Academic All-America® honors in 2006, 2007 and 2008. You were the recipient of the MIAA’s Albert H. Deal Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in 2008, and four-year recipient of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. You were on the President’s List every semester at Olivet and received the Donald A. Morris Award for being one of the top graduating seniors with the highest GPA. At Olivet, you were also a member of the Art Alliance, Hosford Society of Scholars, Omicron Delta Kappa and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

You graduated summa cum laude from Olivet with a perfect 4.0 GPA. You earned a bachelor’s degree in visual arts and biology. After graduating, you worked for almost six years at the BP-Husky Refinery in Oregon, Ohio. From there, you moved to California to work as a safety and health specialist for the City of Hope National Medical Center for nearly four years. You currently live in Sierra Madre, California, and work as an environmental health and safety specialist at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Olivet honors you and is proud to induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame this 11th day of October, 2019.
