Bio
At Charlotte High School you distinguished yourself in football,
wrestling and baseball. In your freshman year you played football
but wrestling was to be your sport of distinction. You were a
member of the Olivet College Wrestling Team for all four years,
lettering each of those years. Each of those years your team won
the MIAA Conference Championship. You were Conference Champion in
both 1978 and 1979 and qualified for the NCAA Nationals two years.
Your athletic talent was recognized with the Team Contribution
Award in 1978, Team Most Valuable Player in 1979, and being named
ALL-MIAA in both 1978 and 1979. Your teammates recognized your
leadership by naming you team captain twice.
You were active on campus as a member of the Phi Alpha Pi
Fraternity. You worked your way through school as a student
employee in the College Maintenance Department. In 1979 you were
awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in business
administration.
Your degree would serve you well in your chosen career of
financial management and accounting. Currently you are working as
controller of Fasco DC Motors in Eaton Rapids. Family is also
important to you. Together with your wife Sheila you are raising
four boys Brian, Jason, Jarred and Bill. Many young athletes have
benefited from your expertise as a coach in little league baseball
and football.
Because of your outstanding abilities as an athlete and
businessperson it is with great pride that this 16th day of
September 2000 we induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall
of Fame.
