Bio

As a member of the Olivet College men’s golf and baseball teams, you earned four varsity letters in each sport. In golf, your team won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship each year and you were a two-time All-MIAA selection. As a senior, you served as team captain and were voted the team MVP. In baseball, your team was the 1981 MIAA co-champs. A year later, you earned MIAA coaches’ honorable mention honors as a first baseman and pitcher.

You also played on the junior varsity basketball team your first two years at Olivet. During your junior season, you served as a varsity assistant coach under Gary Morrison and the Comets were MIAA co-champions.

You received the Walter Sprandel Athletic Achievement Award in 1982. You are also a member of the Phi Alpha Theta historical society.

For 18 years, you worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections in Coldwater and Jackson where you attained the rank of acting Assistant Deputy Warden. You have also played baseball in the Battle Creek City Major Leagues.

Olivet is proud to induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame on this 9th day of September, 2005.
