Green named to the 2006 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Women’s Track/Cross Country third-team
Olivet College senior Stephanie Green (Leroy/Pine River) has been named to the 2006 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Women’s Track/Cross Country third-team.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College senior Stephanie Green (Leroy/Pine River) has been named to the 2006 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Women's Track/Cross Country third-team. She was named to the Academic All-District IV first-team, which made her eligible for Academic All-America honors.
Green, who graduated summa cum laude with a major in business administration and minor in mathematics, was a member of the Comet cross country team in 2005. Her best times this season were 20:39.0 in the 5K run at the Aquinas Invitational, and 21:53.1 in the 6K run at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet.
Green was a recipient of one of the college's 2006 Donald A. Morris Awards, which are presented to the top five graduating seniors. She was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society and American Marketing Association.
Green is the third Olivet student-athlete to earn Academic All-America® honors this year. The other two recipients were senior football player Travis Sleight (Battle Creek/Lakeview) and sophomore swimmer Dustin Meisner (Temperance/Erie Mason).
