Kinjorski and Webb named Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars
FAIRFAX, Va. – Olivet College seniors Liam Kinjorski and Rachel Webb have been named 2022 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars. To view the complete list of honorees, click here. They were recognized in the April 28 issue of the Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine.

Wallis and Albaugh presented Sprandel and Hoover awards
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College athletic department has announced Reese Wallis and Lillian Albaugh as the winners of the 2022 Walter B. Sprandel and Linda Hoover awards. These awards are presented annually to the senior male and female student-athlete for his/her contributions to the college in athletic performance, exemplary conduct and high academic achievement.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. – Olivet College sophomore Donovan King posted a 3-1 record to be the runner-up finisher in the 285-pound bracket to earn All-American honors at the 2022 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. – Olivet College sophomore Donovan King won both of his matches by matches by pin at the 2022 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship today at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse. The two pins secure All-American honors for him and a berth into the semifinals tomorrow.

King qualifies for NCAA Division III Championship, wrestling team finishes fifth at NCAA DIII Central Regional
ADRIAN, Mich. – Led by sophomore Donovan King, the Olivet College wrestling team finished fifth of 20 schools at the 2022 NCAA Division III Central Regional, hosted by Adrian College and at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center. King was the runner-up finisher in the 285-pound bracket to punch his ticket to the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship.

Wrestling team tied for fifth-place after day one NCAA DIII Central Regional
ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College wrestling team is tied for fifth-place after day one of the 2022 NCAA Division III Central Regional, hosted by Adrian College and taking place at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center. Two Comets have advanced to tomorrow’s semifinals and four more Olivet wrestlers are still alive in the consolation bracket. All six Comets are also guaranteed a top-eight finish.

ADA, Ohio – A select group of mainly reserves for the Olivet College wrestling team finished fourth at the 2022 Mid-States Invitational, hosted by Ohio Northern University and inside the ONU Sports Center.

Four Olivet College wrestlers earn 2022 All-MIAA honors
FREELAND, Mich. – Four Olivet College wrestlers have been selected to the 2022 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Team. They are senior Dylan Briggs, sophomore Justin Carnahan, junior Owen Guilford and senior Reese Wallis. The honors were based on a student-athlete’s performance at both the MIAA Individual Championship and MIAA Dual Meet Championship.
