FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College has placed 157 student-athletes on the 2020-21 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll.

Trio named to D3football.com All-Region teams

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Three Olivet College student-athletes – Ta’Mar Heart-Wilkins, Andrew Sikkema and Seth Young – have been named to the 2020-21 D3football.com All-Region Teams. Heart-Wilkins is a First Team Defense selection, and Sikkema and Young are Second Team Offense picks.

Three Olivet College student-athletes selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District VI football team

OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College’s Andrew Campbell, David Curl and Seth Young have been selected to the 2020-21 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VI team for football. They now advance to the 2020-21 CoSIDA NCAA Division III Academic All-America® ballot, where three teams will be named next month.

Five Olivet College student-athletes named Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars

Olivet College student-athletes Jalen Broussard, Andrew Campbell, Liam Kinjorski, Karina Marin and Rachel Webb have been named 2021 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars. They were recognized in the April 29 issue of the Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine.

Heart-Wilkins named MIAA Most Valuable Defensive Player, 10 players earn All-MIAA honors

FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College senior defensive lineman Ta’Mar Heart-Wilkins has been named the 2020-21 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Most Valuable Player. Joining him on the All-MIAA First Team are Akeem Benjamin, Deonte Higgins, Anthony Merriman, Andrew Sikkema, Jeremiah Sterling and Seth Young. Earning All-MIAA Second Team honors are David Curl, Brendan Sine and Spencer Tyler.

Ball and Curl tabbed MIAA Athletes of the Week

FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College freshman SirQuarius Ball and sophomore David Curl have been tabbed Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athletes of the Week for their performance in the football team’s game against Adrian College. Ball is the Offensive Player of the Week, and Curl is the Defensive Player of the Week.

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College football team let a halftime lead slip away, as Adrian College rallied to beat the Comets, 28-27, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest this afternoon on Kapnick Field at Docking Stadium.

FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College freshman Deonte Higgins and senior Kaleb Jarrett have been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athletes of the Week for leading the football team to its 55-14 win over Kalamazoo College.

Football team opens season with 55-14 victory over Kalamazoo

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College football team piled up 505 yards of offense and the defense allowed only 230 yards, as the Comets won 55-14 over Kalamazoo College this afternoon in its season-opener at the Cutler Athletic Complex. Olivet played a football game for the first time since November 16, 2019, a span of 491 days.
