A school-record 171 Olivet College student-athletes have earned 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll honors.

Nine Olivet College student-athletes named Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars
Nine Olivet College student-athletes were recently recognized by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education as a 2020 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar for their dedication to academics and athletics. Olivet’s honorees are Riley Bennett, Griffin Hammond, Liam Kinjorski, Kea Kunz, Karina Marin, Cameron Ramos, Yul Snell, Samantha Torres and Rachel Webb. Hammond, Kunz, Snell and Torres also earned this honor in 2019. To view the complete list of honorees, click here. Bush and Deweyert receive athletic department scholar-athlete awards
Seniors Jarod Bush and Nicole Deweyert are the recipients of the Olivet College Walter B. Sprandel and Linda Hoover awards for the 2019-20 academic year. These awards are presented annually to the top male and female senior student-athlete for his and her contributions to the college in athletic performance, exemplary conduct and high academic achievement.

Eight Olivet College football players named to All-MIAA teams
Eight Olivet College football players have garnered 2019 All-MIAA Teams. Senior offensive linemen Jarod Bush and Daniel Waber, senior defensive lineman Miguel Manion, senior running back Noah McMinn, sophomore defensive back Anthony Merriman, freshman defensive back Isaiah Moon and senior linebacker Kolby Williams are All-MIAA First Team selections. Sophomore tight end Seth Young is an All-MIAA Second Team pick.

Football team drops season-finale to Albion, 30-21
The Olivet College football team dropped a 30-21 decision to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College in it season-finale this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. Despite the loss, the Comets finish the 2019 season with an 8-2 overall record and share second-place in the league standings with a 5-2 record.

The Olivet College football team raced out to a 30-7 halftime lead and hung to beat Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College, 30-20, this afternoon at Angell Field in Kalamazoo.

A valiant comeback for the Olivet College football team came up short, as the Comets fell to Hope College, 21-7, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. With the win, the Flying Dutchmen gain sole possession of first-place in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings.
