A school-record 171 Olivet College student-athletes have earned 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll honors.

Nine Olivet College student-athletes named Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars

Nine Olivet College student-athletes were recently recognized by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education as a 2020 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar for their dedication to academics and athletics. Olivet’s honorees are Riley Bennett, Griffin Hammond, Liam Kinjorski, Kea Kunz, Karina Marin, Cameron Ramos, Yul Snell, Samantha Torres and Rachel Webb. Hammond, Kunz, Snell and Torres also earned this honor in 2019. To view the complete list of honorees, click here. Bennett named to CoSIDA Academic All-District VI baseball team

Olivet College senior Riley Bennett has been named to the 2020 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VI Baseball team. He is eligible to earn the 2020 CoSIDA NCAA Division III Academic All-America® honors. Three Academic All-America® teams in early June.

Olivet baseball team sweeps MIAA Player of the Week awards

FREELAND, Mich. – The Olivet College baseball team has swept the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week awards for the week ending March 15. Senior Matt Rehfeldt has been selected the Pitcher of the Week and junior Logan Sella has been named the Position Player of the Week.

Bennett’s RBI-single lifts baseball team past Nebraska Wesleyan, 3-2

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Senior Riley Bennett lined an RBI-single in the eighth inning to lift the Olivet College baseball team past Nebraska Wesleyan University, 3-2, this afternoon at Chain of Lakes Stadium in Winter Haven, Florida.

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Olivet College baseball team suffered a 15-8 loss to Westminster (Pa.) College today at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Florida.

LEESBURG, Fla. – The Olivet College baseball team was shutout by Loras (Iowa) College, 3-0, this morning at the RussMatt Invitational and at the Pat Thomas Stadium in Leesburg, Florida.

Baseball team breaks stolen bases record in 10-6 win over Becker at RussMatt Invitational

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Olivet College baseball team broke the single-game school record with 13 stolen bases this morning in a 10-6 win over Becker (Mass.) College. It was the Comets’ first game at the RussMatt Invitational and inside the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Florida.

Baseball team sweeps Wisconsin Lutheran, 7-4 and 8-0

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Behind timely hitting and solid starting pitching, the Olivet College baseball team swept a doubleheader from Wisconsin Lutheran College, 7-4 and 8-0, this afternoon at Terry Park in Fort Myers, Florida. Sophomore Brendan Redding pitched the first five innings in game one, and freshman Ty Metzger threw a complete game, four-hitter in game two.
