Cross country teams run at Inter-Regional Rumble

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams ran this morning at the 2019 Inter-Regional Rumble. Oberlin (Ohio) College hosted the meet.
Location: Oberlin College Cross Country Course; Oberlin, Ohio
- The men ran in the varsity 8K race.
- The Comets had 933 points to finish in 36th-place.
- Junior Kyle Markley was the first Olivet runner to cross the finish line, as he ran the race in a career-best time of 26:42.9.
- Freshman Chase Mendham was the next Comet finisher. He completed the run in a season-best time of 26:48.5.
- Sophomore Kyle McDowell had a personal-best time of 27:05.9.
- The women ran in the open 6K race.
- Olivet had 576 points to place 22nd.
- Sophomore Kaylee Richardson ran the Comets' fastest time at 25:39.9. The time was also a career-best for her.
- Junior Morgan Greenman was next at 26:44.8.
- Freshman Savannah Baker finished in 27:47.9.
- Olivet now prepares for the 2019 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships in two weeks on Saturday, Nov. 2. Trine (Ind.) University is the host school, and the races will be held at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.
