Women’s volleyball team loses two matches at UW-Platteville Tournament

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Olivet College volleyball team fell to the host Pioneers in four sets and was swept by Wisconsin Lutheran College today at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Tournament at Williams Fieldhouse and on Bo Ryan Court in Platteville, Wisconsin.

Final Score: Wisconsin Lutheran def. Olivet 25-18, 25-22, 25-22

• Senior Morgan Champion slammed down a team-best 10 kills.
• Senior Madelyn Notenbaum and junior Laken Groll each had six kills.
• Freshman Kennedy Blackburn recorded 15 set assists.
• Senior Gabrielle Mundt had a team-leading 14 digs.

• Grace Tomhave led WLC with 10 kills.
• Emily Sarles finished with 18 set assists.
• Ally Goba tallied 23 digs.

• Groll registered a team-best 12 kills and three blocks.
• Notenbaum had a team-leading 12 set assists.
• Mundt topped the defense with 21 digs.

• Olivia Kudronowicz led all players with 13 kills.
• Sam Rossetti dished out 34 set assists.
• Stephanie Kalinowski recorded a match-high 23 digs.

• Olivet plays a neutral-site match next Friday, Sept. 20, against Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) University. The match is taking place at Kresge Gym in Albion and gets started at 7:30 p.m.
