Volleyball: Comets swept by Wisconsin-Stevens Point and North Central
The Olivet College volleyball team was swept in three sets by University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and North Central (Ill.) College today at the first day of the Dig Panici Classic in Whitewater, Wis.

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Olivet College volleyball team was swept in three sets by University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and North Central (Ill.) College today at the first day of the Dig Panici Classic in Whitewater, Wis. Wis.-Stevens Point won by scores of 25-9, 25-9 and 25-16, while North Central posted a 25-23, 25-13 and 25-16 win.
No statistics are available at this time from the match vs. Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Against North Central, the Comets were led by senior Stefanie Lang who recorded seven kills. Sophomores Cassie Brown and Ashlee Roussey each had five kills. Senior Taylor Pringle finished with a team-high 17 assists, while sophomore libero Mona Hinamanu collected a match-high 20 digs.
Against Wis.-Stevens Point, Lang led Olivet with seven kills, followed by junior Marissa Guile with four. Sophomore Danielle Bearden and Pringle dished out six and five assists, respectively. Hinamanu recorded 16 digs.
Olivet stays in Wisconsin tonight for the second day of the tournament tomorrow. The Comets play University of Wis.-Whitwater at 11 a.m. and Coe (Iowa) College at 1 p.m.
