Volleyball: Olivet loses twice at MIAA-HCAC Challenge
The Olivet College volleyball team lost a pair of four-set matches today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Challenge at Manchester (Ind.) University.

N. MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Olivet College volleyball team lost a pair of four-set matches today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Challenge at Manchester (Ind.) University. The Comets opened the day with a 25-22, 16-25, 25-21, 25-16 loss to Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Institute of Technology. Olivet then fell to Anderson (Ind.) University 25-19, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21. For her efforts, senior Stefanie Lang was named to the all-tournament team.
Against Rose-Hulman, Lang had a match-high 14 kills. Sophomore Gabrielle Trudell recorded 12 kills, followed by junior Marissa Guile and sophomore Re'Gene Thompson with nine each. Senior Taylor Pringle collected 22 set assists. In the back, sophomore Mona Hinamanu led the Comets with 22 digs.

Olivet will now start MIAA play next Tuesday, Sept. 2, when Kalamazoo College visits The Cutler Event Center for a 7 p.m. match.
