Volleyball team falls to Alma in four games
The Olivet College volleyball team fell to Alma College in four games (30-17, 30-23, 24-30, 30-22) this evening at the Cappaert Gymnasium in Alma.
The Olivet College volleyball team fell to Alma College in four games (30-17, 30-23, 24-30, 30-22) this evening at the Cappaert Gymnasium in Alma.
Freshman Ellen Schulz (Freeland) tied for match-high honors with 14 kills, followed by junior Mackenzie Heator (Union City) and sophomore Jennie Malm (Bridgman) with nine and eight, respectively. Schulz also collected a match-high eight assisted blocks. Freshman Jenessa Hicks (Union City) recorded a match-high 37 assists. Junior Lindsey Tarrant (Metamore/Oxford) led the defense with 41 digs.
The Comets will be back in action Friday evening when they participate in a MIAA Tri-Match at Calvin College in Grand Rapids. Olivet will play Tri-State (Ind.) University at 6 p.m., followed by a match against the host Knights at approximately 8 p.m.
