Women’s Track and Field: 4x400 relay breaks school record at CUAA “Legacy” Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Led by a school-record performance in the 4x400-meter relay, The University of Olivet women's outdoor track and field team competed today at the 2024 Concordia University Ann Arbor "Legacy" Meet.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of junior London Eldridge, freshman Aubrey Connelly, senior Lily Connelly and senior Tonya Tepin won the race in a school-record time of 4:08.88.
- In the 200-meter dash, Olivet had two runners post a personal best and two others run a season best. Lily Connelly led the way with a personal-best time of 26.72 seconds, which ranks sixth all-time at Olivet. Aubrey Connelly had a season-best time of 28.06 seconds. Tepin clocked-in with a personal-best time of 28.46 seconds, while freshman Ella Baynes recorded a season-best time of 28.89 seconds.
- The 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Morgan Jeffries, Eldridge, senior Alexandra DeVault and Lily Connelly ran the fourth-fastest time in school history at 50.90 seconds.
- Junior Berniah Alexander claimed a personal-best mark of 108 feet, 11 inches in the discus throw and a season-best mark of 36 feet, 4 inches in the shot put.
- Other season-best times on the track were achieved by:
- Freshman Aaliyah Cota in the 1,500-meter run (5:26.82). The time ranks 10th all-time at Olivet.
- Freshman Evelyn Gifford in the 800-meter run (3:08.85).
- Junior Emily Norkowski in the 100-meter hurdles (15.80).
- Olivet is back in action next Thursday and Friday, May 2-3, at the 2024 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day. Calvin University is the host school.
