Women’s tennis team downed by Trine, 8-1
The Olivet College women’s tennis team was downed by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Trine (Ind.) University, 8-1, today inside the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center in Angola, Indiana.

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women's tennis team was downed by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Trine (Ind.) University, 8-1, today inside the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center in Angola, Indiana.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Thunder won two of the three doubles flights by matching 8-2 scores. The third doubles score was 8-1.
- Trine swept five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Rachael Hager claimed Olivet's lone team point with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the No. 1 singles slot.
UP NEXT
- The Comets now play three matches in three days to end their season. On Friday, they travel to play Alma College at 4 p.m. On Saturday, Olivet hosts Adrian College at 1 p.m., and on Sunday, the Comets are on the road to play Albion College at 1 p.m.
