Swimming & diving teams compete at Hillsdale
The Olivet College men?s and women?s swimming & diving teams were scheduled to compete today in a non-conference quad meet, with host Hillsdale College along with DePauw (Ind.) University and Notre Dame College of Ohio. However, the quad turned into a double dual against Hillsdale and DePauw for the Comet women, and the men swam their events since the entire Notre Dame team and DePauw men did not make the trip to Hillsdale due to the weather.

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving teams were scheduled to compete today in a non-conference quad meet, with host Hillsdale College along with DePauw (Ind.) University and Notre Dame College of Ohio. However, the quad turned into a double dual against Hillsdale and DePauw for the Comet women, and the men swam their events since the entire Notre Dame team and DePauw men did not make the trip to Hillsdale due to the weather.
THE RESULTS
- Women – Hillsdale def. Olivet, 212-56; DePauw def. Olivet, 190-75
FOR THE WOMEN
- Ana Paula Montes de Oca placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 1:59.99. She was third in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:04.38.
- Sabrina Butler had a season-best time of 1:13.30 in the 100-yard butterfly.
FOR THE MEN
- Bryan Plesner posted a season-best time in the 1,000-yard freestyle at 11:06.85.
- Ian Bishop and Tom Decker finished with the exact same time, 24.43 seconds, in the 50-yard freestyle.
UP NEXT
- Olivet travels to Hope College for a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meet next Friday, Jan. 19, starting at 5 p.m.
