Ten Olivet College athletic teams receive MIAA Team GPA award
Ten Olivet College athletic teams have received the 2017-18 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Team GPA award. The award is presented annually to the conference teams who have a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year.

School record 136 student-athletes land on MIAA Academic Honor Roll
A school record 136 Olivet College student-athletes have landed a spot on the 2017-18 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll. Olivet succeeded the 100 plateau for the fifth time in school history.

Montes de Oca finishes in 28th-place in 1,650 free at NCAA Championships
Olivet College freshman Ana Paula Montes de Oca finished in 28th-place in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the 2018 NCAA Division IIII Swimming & Diving Championships. She completed her race in 17:49.57, which is still the third fastest time in school history.

Olivet College freshman Ana Paula Montes de Oca had the second-fastest time in school history in the 200-yard butterfly but missed the cut to compete in the evening finals at the 2018 NCAA Division IIII Swimming & Diving Championships.

Montes de Oca fails to make finals in 500 freestyle
Olivet College freshman Ana Paula Montes de Oca failed to make the finals in the 500-yard freestyle today at the 2018 NCAA Division IIII Swimming & Diving Championships. She swam the preliminary race in 5:06.34, which ranked 31st of 37 swimmers.

Swimming & diving teams place fourth and fifth at MIAA Championships
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams finished fourth- and fifth-place at the 2018 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships, held at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids. Over the four days of events, the Comet men totaled 246 points, while the women had 208 points.

The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams are in fourth- and fifth-place after day three of the 2018 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships, taking place at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids. Entering tomorrow’s final day of competition, the Comet men have 172points, while the women have 152 points.

Olivet sits in fourth after day two of MIAA Swimming & Diving Championships
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams has wrapped-up the second day of competition at the 2018 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships, hosted by Calvin College and at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids. After day two, the Comet women are in fourth-place with 109 points. The men’s team also sits in fourth-place with 96 total points.

The first day of the 2018 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships is complete for the Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams. Highlighting the action was Ana Paula Montes de Oca leading off the 800 freestyle relay with a school-record time in the 200 at 1:53.08.

Olivet sweeps MIAA Athlete of the Week awards for women’s swimming and diving
The Olivet College women’s swimming and diving team has swept the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week awards. Freshman Ana Paula Montes de Oca has been named the Swimmer of the Week, and sophomore Abbie Slater has been chosen the Diver of the Week.

Swimming & diving teams close out dual meet schedule with losses to Albion
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams closed out the dual meet portion of their schedules with losses to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College on Senior Day at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet. In the meet, freshman Ana Paula Montes de Oca broke the pool record in three events.
