OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team was on the losing end of a 7-2 score to Hope College today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Flying Dutch scored three goals in the first 11 minutes and 53 seconds of the game.
- The Comets netted their first goal 24 seconds later in the 13th minute when freshman Maya Prewitt found the back of the net for her first collegiate tally. Sophomore Emma Essen earned the assist on the goal.
- Hope scored three more goals in a span of two minutes and 28 seconds to take a 6-1 lead at halftime.
- Both teams scored a goal on a penalty kick in the second half. The Flying Dutch made theirs only 26 seconds after the break.
- Junior Isabelle Leon was fouled inside the box in the 74th minute. She then buried her PK attempt into the goal.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet finished the game with 13 shots.
- Leon topped the team with seven shots. Essen and Prewitt each had two.
- Freshman Brooklyn Burel stopped eight shots, while playing all 90 minutes in between the pipes.
FOR THE FLYING DUTCH
- Elizabeth Perkins recorded a hat trick along with an assist for seven total points. She also had a team-best six shots.
- Erin Brophy, Natalie Curry, Kendall Dice and Allie Wittenbach also scored one goal apiece.
- Two keepers each allowed a goal and combined to collect five saves.

- The Comets host Trine (Ind.) University next Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
