ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team was shutout by Adrian College, 7-0, today at Performance Stadium in Adrian.
The Bulldogs scored early and often in the game. The first goal came in the 13th minute on a header by Sam Barker. Erin Weide then scored twice in a span of 75 seconds to make the score 3-0. Adrian added another goal in the 39th minute for a 4-0 halftime lead. The Bulldogs scored three times in the second half, including the final goal with 32 seconds left, for the final margin.
The Comets were held to just two shots, both by sophomore Lindsey Winters (Plymouth/Canton). Freshman Patty Groh (Mason) played all 90 minutes in goal and collected 11 saves.
Olivet will end its season next Tuesday, Nov. 1, when it travels to play Trine (Ind.) University at 3 p.m.
