Underwood earns 2009 All-MIAA honors in women’s soccer
Olivet College junior Cara Underwood (Holland) has earned 2009 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) first-team honors in women’s soccer. All-MIAA honors are based on a player’s statistics during the eight-game league schedule.

Underwood started seven-of-eight games for the Comets in the midfield. For the entire season, she saw action in all 18 games. Underwood finished the season with 10 shots, including seven on-goal.
"It is great the other coaches in the MIAA noticed Cara's contributions to our team," said Head Coach Hans Morgan. "Without a doubt, she was our most consistant contributor. Cara is a very talented player who has worked hard to get where she is and her game grew tremendously this fall. She fully deserves this recognition and I could not be happier for her."
Olivet posted a 5-12-1 overall record and tied for seventh-place in the MIAA standings with a 1-6-1 record.
