The Olivet College women's soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 3-0, this afternoon in its season finale at Alumni Field in Albion.
The Britons (10-8-2, 10-4-2 MIAA) jumped out fast by scoring their first goal just 23 seconds into the game. They made the score 2-0 at halftime, and tallied a second half goal in the 59th minute.
Sophomore Dani Jacobs (Suttons Bay High School) saw action in goal during the first half. She faced 11 shots while making four saves. Freshman goalie Breanna Simonsen (Mason High School) played the second half, facing 10 shots and making six saves.
The Lady Comets wrap up the 2004 season with an 8-12 overall record and 6-10-0 mark in MIAA play.
