Stickney named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

Olivet College sophomore forward Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph High School) has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer.
Stickney scored six goals to lead the Lady Comets to a pair of MIAA victories last week. On Sept. 22, she had two goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over Tri-State (Ind.) University. On Sept. 25, Stickney had four goals in 4-1 upset victory over previously unbeaten Saint Mary's (Ind.) College. For the season, she leads the Comets with 20 points (nine goals and two assists). Stickney and the Lady Comets are next in action Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Adrian College at 4 p.m.
