CLEVELAND, Ohio – Olivet College junior Tyler Grimsley had a 1-2 record today to be eliminated from the 2018 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships at historical Public Hall in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In a pigtail match of the 165-pound bracket, Grimsley lost his first match 8-2 to Zach Zupan from Cortland State (N.Y.). Grimsley rebounded to beat Jeremy Vester from Central (Iowa), 6-2, scoring points on a pair of takedowns, an escape and a penalty point.
- In his first true consolation bracket match, Grimsley fell to Adrian Gonzalez from Johnson & Wales (R.I.), 4-2. The difference in the match was a first-period takedown.
