Olivet College junior Tyler Grimsley had a 1-2 record today to be eliminated from the 2018 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships at historical Public Hall in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

Wrestling team ties for ninth at NCAA DIII Central Regional
The Olivet College wrestling team tied for ninth of 18 schools at the 2018 NCAA Division III Central Regional. Wabash (Ind.) College hosted the regional inside the Knowling Fieldhouse in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Junior 165-pounder Tyler Grimsley was the lone Comet to advance to the 2018 NCAA Championships.

The No. 12 ranked Olivet College wrestling team scored bonus points in five of its six individual match victories to post a 28-13 win over Trine (Ind.) University tonight at Hershey Hall in Angola, Indiana. With the win, the Comets close out the dual match portion of their schedule with a 14-4 record.

The Olivet College wrestling team has finished in eighth-place at the 2018 NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals at the War Allen Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Today, the Comets, unranked in the NWCA Top 25 poll, upset #16 North Central (Ill.) College, 22-14, before suffering a 35-9 loss to #8 Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University and 30-6 loss to #6 University of Wis.-Whitewater.

The Olivet College wrestling team posted a 3-1 record on the first day of the 2018 NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals held today inside the War Allen Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Comets beat Augustana (Ill.) College, 27-16, in the first round before suffering a 46-3 loss to Wartburg (Iowa) College. Olivet bounced back to defeat New York University, 28-14, and Wheaton (Ill.) College, 24-18.

Wrestling team finishes with 3-1 record at Washington & Lee Duals
The Olivet College wrestling team finished with a 3-1 record at the 2017 Washington & Lee Duals held inside the Warner Center in Lexington, Virginia. The Comets defeated Greensboro (N.C.) College, 32-13; and lost to Coast Guard Academy (Conn.), 17-15, before bouncing back to beat King’s (Pa.) College, 41-6, and Averett (Va.) University, 44-3.

Senior Jared Brickley took first-place in the 125-pound bracket to help the Olivet College wrestling team place fourth of 11 schools at the 37th Annual Ohio Northern University Polar Bear Invitational held today inside the ONU Sports Center in Ada, Ohio.

Seniors Ryan Clark and John Leark, and junior Tyler Grimsley all had 4-0 records to lead the Olivet College wrestling team to a perfect 4-0 record today at the 2017 Comet Duals inside The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Comets beat Mount St. Joseph, 47-3; Millikin, 19-15; Henry Ford, 39-4; and Univ. of the Ozarks (Ark.), 35-9.
