Women’s lacrosse team downed by Hanover
The Olivet College women's lacrosse team was on the losing end of a 20-2 score to Hanover (Ind.) College this afternoon at Alumni Stadium in Hanover, Indiana.

HANOVER, Ind. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team was on the losing end of a 20-2 score to Hanover (Ind.) College this afternoon at Alumni Stadium in Hanover, Indiana.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers scored the first eight goals of the game. Olivet got on the scoreboard with 17:34 left before halftime when sophomore Cayla Wierenga found the back of the cage. Hanover netted the final six goals of the half for a 14-1 advantage at the intermission.
- In the second half, the Panthers scored five straight goals to extend their lead to 19-1. The Comets found the back of the cage for the final time, as freshman Grace Forbush tallied her first collegiate goal. Hanover scored the last goal of the game to make the score 20-2.
FOR THE COMETS
- In addition to her goal, Wierenga had a team-leading four shots (three on-goal), three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Senior Keri Hettinger played the entire game in goal. She collected 15 saves and posted a .429 save percentage.
FOR THE PANTHERS
- Rachel Davis led Hanover with seven points on three goals and four assists.
- Emma Boomershine and Mallory Fogus each tallied a game-high four goals.
- Kinna Laymon finished with three goals.
- Jordyn Golde registered four saves while earning the win in goal.
