ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team was blanked by University of Mount Union (Ohio), 21-0, today at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance, Ohio.
The Purple Raiders led 17-0 at halftime before scoring four second-half goals for the final 21-0 score. The Comets were unable to generate much offense in the game, recording only seven total shots. Junior Mackenzie Inman (Union City) led the way with four shots, placing three on-goal. Junior Geri Merrell (Battle Creek/Lakeview) had two shots. Freshman Xavier Vance (West Bloomfield) made seven shots, while playing all 60 minutes in goal.
Olivet returns to Ohio next Tuesday, March 25, to play a 4 p.m. game at Hiram College.
